The theater is waiting.
The play is over, the
actors gone, the seats
empty.
The Laughter,
The Applause
The Passion
are only echoes.
The tread of
familiar feet,
The jokes backstage,
The clear, ringing
voices as characters
spring to life.
Exultation!
