Soul-mate

You find someone who knows your every thought;
There is true friendship which cannot be bought.
The friendship then becomes a love,
The wonders of life, the egg of a dove.
A dewdrop, a grass blade, a shimmering tear,
Are symbols and signs of the love you hold dear.
Your thoughts meld together; the product is done.
Your souls know each the other, together know all.
That is the greatest friendship of all.

Thoughts and Comments

I wrote this at From Thought to Print: A Book-Out. Middle school and high school students gathered for one day, wrote, illustrated, typeset and produced a book on that day.
