Hear Me

Music
flows through
me

ties
my lives
together

tumbling water swept me over
the weir,
now pours out my fingers
in thunderous chords

dancing
you were there
skirling
pipes and viol
you were there
dark curls
dancing
you were there
blue neckline gaping
homespun skirt twirling
you were there
our dusty feet dancing
in the sunlight
you were there

you hear
my music

you must
press your ear
to my heart

you hear
my music

here,
between my breasts
you hear

my music
