Beth

Eight-year warmth mellow like
antique wood.
She dances.
Her naked toes
clench the floor. She twirls,
arches, plops on her
bottom. Myrtle the
Turtle and Pooh bear applaud
in delight. They share
tea and cookies, and plan
an afternoon ramble. She leads
her entourage to their garden cave,
her regal head high,
ponytail tickling
her back.
